Here’s Why You Need To Prioritise Having A Videographer.
There aren’t many things that last after your wedding day. The drinks get drunk, the food gets eaten, the venue gets packed with another wedding party, but the videos… they last a lifetime.
I completely get it, videography is a big investment and surely, photos will be enough won’t they?
Maybe! Provided the photographer understands how to capture emotions, rather than just poses, photography can beautifully capture your wedding day.
BUT,
what photography can’t do, is capture the words that were spoken. The ones that you and your loved ones spend days crafting into the perfect vows, or the perfect speech, with a sprinkling of funny shared memories combined with heartfelt words that would feel out of place if said anywhere else!
These speeches and how they were delivered are something you’ll never get to hear again, however having a video will allow you to relive them for the rest of your life.
Not only that you’ll have a way to relive the reactions, the belly laughter, the proud hugs, the happy tear rolling down pops cheek, the smiles, the relationships and all the joy that comes along with having years of shared moments with someone.
When you’re deep in wedding planning, watching your budget stretch a little more each day, it’s easy to think videography is something you can do without but trust me, as the years pass, as little ones grow up, as love ones are lost, you will treasure that video more than I can express.
Having a wedding video will take you back in time, to that perfect day when everyone you love so dearly was laughing and smiling, together, in the one room.
Being able to spend some time back in the moment, watching how cute the kids were when they were young, seeing those you would give anything to hug tightly once more and hearing all the incredibly precious words that were shared will fill you with all the joy it did on the day itself.
So when you’re planning out your wedding budget, look at the bigger picture, think about how much having these memories preserved for a lifetime means and see if it’s possible to factor in videography, even if it means spending slightly less on some of the areas that will only last the day. If your people mean everything to you, a video of the day you spent celebrating with every one of them together in the one room will too.
