We’re the team behind Ludo Petrik Wedding Photography & Film.
Our passion is to freeze moments in time, the simple, human moments that paint a bigger picture, telling the story of relationships, connection and love and what better way to do this than at a wedding!
Weddings are full of the most real emotions, the happy tears, the excited squeals, huge cuddles, laugh out loud moments and potentially some rosy red cheeks when they best man let’s a little too loose on his speech!!
It is an ABSOLUTE JOY to capture and document these moments, and we still pinch ourselves that this is actually our job!
How do we work together?… Dani will be on top of all questions, timelines and communications along your wedding journey, keeping things as chilled and organised as possible, and Ludo, he’s the man behind the camera and the editing! He will be there on the day, potentially telling some terrible jokes to relieve any awkward feelings in front of the camera, and by the end of the night he’ll probably be high-fiving all of your guests & capturing some epic moments amongst the dance-floor, while he busts out some of his signature (not so great) dance moves!

This is when we can go over all of the plans for your wedding day and we’ll let you know which package/s would work best to capture everything as you’re imagining. This call has the potential to save you valuable time and money!
02 Lock it in
Yay! We'll finalise your deposit and sign the dotted lines to secure your booking. You'll complete a questionnaire that'll help me to get the next steps organised.
03 Nail the Details
We'll keep in touch throughout your wedding planning, from scouting shoot locations to finessing your run sheet. I'm always just an email away!

QUICK Tips
I have no idea how many hours photography I’ll need. Can you help me figure this out?
Yes 100%! We can chat through this on our first call, if you have a rough idea of your ceremony time, reception start time and the formalities you’re planning, that can be as simple as saying speeches & first dance. We can do an estimate and provide a couple of options of what could be covered in 8 vs 10 hours for example. We’re also happy for couples to secure the date and decide on the package later on!
What Time Should I Have My Ceremony
Summer Weddings (Daylight Savings)
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Winter Weddings (Non-Daylight Savings)
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
These times work best for traditional weddings where you plan to have bridal portraits after. If you’re planning to have a first look and you just want to kick straight on to the festivities after your ceremony, chat with your photographer and they can work through timeline options with you.
Do we do the group photo after the ceremony? What smaller group photos are taken?
For most weddings with between 60-120 guests, allocating 30 minutes following the ceremony is more than enough to take a large group shot and some smaller group shots. Examples of the smaller group photos are: Newlyweds with either side of the family, grandparents, friendship groups, kids etc.
A tip to make this quick is to think about the groups of people you would like photos with and write a list of them. Then nominate one person on either side of the family that knows most guests, to round them up ready to go for their shot! Also send a list through to the photographer so it’s on file in case it can’t be found on the day!
How Long Do We Need For Wedding Party Photos?
Ideally around an hour is great for a wedding party of 8 - 10. This is also if the ceremony & reception are at the same place. If we’re heading off for photos adding some extra time to account for driving means more time and less rushing!
HOWEVER, it is YOUR day, if you only want to take 30 minutes away from your guests, that’s fine! Ludo will get as many incredible shots as possible in that time.
We always chat with our couples in the planning stage about this to see what their preference is. There are ways to get beautiful portraits without having to spend one long chunk of time away from guests. Such as doing a first look, or ducking out for 15 minutes near sunset.
If you are happy to take 1 - 1.5 hours for portraits we suggest they get the venue to package up some canapés, grab a bottle of wine / drinks to bring along and keep the fun going while we get epic shots!

Second Shooter
As much as I'd love to clone myself and be in two spots at once, it's a lot easier to get extra coverage if you choose to have a second shooter on the day.
The Perfect Solution To Cover Multiple Locations Or Big Weddings.
This is a particularly good idea if:
Adding a second photographer to your wedding day ensures nothing is missed, especially if you have a large guest list or want to capture the details and atmosphere of the day.
With two photographers, one can focus on your guests while the other documents your special moments. It’s perfect for couples getting ready at separate locations or when you want photos of the ceremony and reception styling before guests arrive. A second photographer helps capture your day from every angle, telling a fuller story.
